Job description:

Join our dynamic team as an HPC User Support Specialist and play a crucial role in supporting researchers, scientists, and businesses utilizing our cutting-edge high-performance computing infrastructure. You’ll be the users’ first point of contact, providing technical guidance, troubleshooting issues, and engaging experts if needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Create user accounts.
  • Manage user access to systems and data.
  • Update compute quotas.
  • Update and maintain user guidelines and documentation.
  • Take detailed notes during team meetings and publish using Markdown.
  • Assist in the onboarding of new users.
  • Prepare training materials.
  • Collaborate with other support agents and departments to resolve complex issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant work experience in a similar field.
  • Knowledge of computers, software, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to efficiently identify and resolve common customer issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage a high volume of inquiries.
  • Minimum B2 level verbal and written English and Estonian.

Nice to have skills or knowledge:

  • Experience with high-performance computing environments.
  • Familiarity with support ticketing systems.
  • Basic understanding of networking, software, and hardware issues related to HPC.
